New Junior Competition
For the first time in 2012 the prestigious Junior Solo Piping Competition was open to all applicants. In the past, these competitions have been restricted to competitors from the Highland counties of Scotland. From now on the Northern Meeting will hold a junior competition which is of a similar standing to its senior competition.
There will be Piobaireachd and March, Strathspey and Reel competitions for both under 15s and under 18s, at Eden Court Theatre. The overall under 18s winner will receive a special prize, through the generosity of John Maclean, of a week’s private tuition at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow ... register here |
